How should the local government use social media?
Social media allows engagement directly with those you serve. It is a way to communicate with various communities and get your message out to more people that may not have seen it otherwise. Social media allows more communication to be accessible, however, it also can be tough for local governments to gain enough of a following so their message is seen and shared. Cold calls, letters, postcards, etc. are always a safe bet in addition to social media to communicate a message.
