If I want to purchase a condo in auction on first DOT foreclosure

Also there is a HOA NOD also recorded on the property after the HOA.

What happens to the HOA NOD after I purchase the property?

Does it fall off the title?

It depends on whether or not the state is a “super lien” state. CA is not a super lien state, so as long as the HOA lien was recorded after the deed of trust, it should be wiped out.

I wouldn’t assume the HOA stuff is wiped out automatically. Auctions can be messy, so spending a bit on a title search is usually money well spent.
