Can a HUD lien survive a trustee sale at the auction?

I have bought a property at the auction and realized after the fact that there is a lien from 2014 in favor of " Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (lender) MIN# NA. ". Need to know if the trustee has the right to transfer the title without clearing that? Thanks!

The process for the auction varies by state, but typically properties purchased are subject to existing loan and liens. It will depend on the lien position you purchased at the auction. If you purchased a 1st, typically any junior liens would be wiped out. You may want to contact a title company for more details.
