Purchase money mortgage superior to pre-existing judgements?

In California, are purchase money mortgages (not refinance mortgages) superior to to pre-existing judgements so that prior judgement creditors could have their interests extinguished when the purchase money first forecloses?

Hopefully I phrased that in way that is understood. I ask because sometimes you see abstract judgements and credit card judgements etc recorded before 1st loans. It would be helpful to know if they were wiped out when the purchase money first forecloses even though the purchase money first was recorded after the judgements.

You are correct. They do have priority.
