Can you stop a house from going to sale if the home owner files Bankruptcy at the last minute? Last minute meaning less than 48 hours?

It is my understanding that filing bankruptcy will temporarily stop a sale at any time prior to the sale date and time. If the sale was to be held at 1pm I believe you could even file that morning and stop the sale that day. Make sure you check with a bankruptcy attorney.
Remember that filing BK does not cancel a sale it will typically postpone until the bank can get a relief of stay and proceed with the sale.
