it was my understanding that child support was wiped away. but i heard the auctioneer telling someone that child support is just like property taxes and stays with the property? is that true?

Should be no different than any other lien,wiped out if it is junior, still due if it is senior. That said I’d recommend checking with a title officer at your local title company to make sure nothing has changed recently that I’ve missed.
