Liens on property

How do you determine existing liens on property–particularly foreclosed properties going to a trustee sale

Hi Curt,
You can start by using the transaction history in ForeclosureRadar. You can verify reconveyances and search for other liens using the county recorder site to search by the owner name. You can also hire an abstractor to research title or you can contact your local title company for a profile report. Always remember that you will want to check for property taxes using the tax assessor site and IRS liens that have a 120 day redemption period.
