When recording the deed tomorrow, do the owners need to be persent, my folks purchased the property and i am helping them out will all the paperwork, do they need to be persent at recorder’s office or can i go, do it myself? Complete a Preliminary Change of Ownership Report, (PCOR) you can probably download it from the County recorder’s website. And insist thay they take it, it will help protect your rights if you choose to appeal the base year tax assessment.
