A property has a lot of County/City liens. If it is foreclosed in first mortgage, should I worry about these liens? Below is a clip from PropertyRadar. These liens are show in county property records.
Hi cluo - potentially yes. Some unpaid city/county liens roll over to the assessor for collection. While I don’t personally think they should be added to the property taxes and become super senior liens, like unpaid property taxes, I have had that happen in some counties for certain unpaid bills - some of which weren’t even yet recorded as liens. So, yes, do be careful with those.
