I sold and closed on the sell of a vacant lot here in Texas about 3 weeks ago. Today i get a bill from the HOA saying i owe $150 for maintenance fees on my lot. Should this not been requested at closing at title company? Are we still liable to pay even though we don’t own the property anymore?
Here in CA, the HOA dues are typically handled by escrow. If they were not and the bill was generated prior to you closing date, you are likely liable.
