Some banks give you official bank checks when you ask for cashier's checks is it the same?

Some banks give you official bank checks when you ask for cashiers checks and they say it is the same thing, but I remember a while ago while buying a property they didn’t accept the official bank check at the escrow. Do auctions accept them??

HI Vincent,
You should always take a cashier check not an official bank check. Most title companies will not even take them for funds to close. The reason is that offical bank checks can be canceled.
