Viewing the home prior to Auction, is this possible?

Was wondering if anyone knew if viewing the home prior to Auction is possible and how.

Unless the property is listed and you can inspect it with an agent as a potential buyer there is no way to inspect the interior of the property.
If the home is vacant many investors would look in the windows but you would have no legal right to enter the property.
If the property is occupied and you had a very special talent for talking to homeowners in distress and managed to get them to “show you around” then you could enter with their permission. (not necessarily recommended).

To Michelle’s last point I knew an auction investor who was quite gifted at getting homeowners to give him a tour. Never appealed much to me, but there were multiple times it helped him either find a good deal or avoid a bad one.
