what's the difference between trustee deed and grant deed?

After puchase house from trustee sale, I contacted tenants . Tenants want to see the grant deed and I contacted trustee and was told they are sending me trustee deed, not grant deed.
Sorry for my ignorance.
Please explain .

Both Deeds convey title. A Trustee uses a Trustees Deed to convey title since it was an involuntary sale (the owner did not sign the deed since the sale was the result of a foreclosure). A Grant Deed is the document that would be used in a traditional sale to convey title. Once the Trustee sends you the Trustees Deed you would file that at the County Recorders office and you are the new owner of the property.
