After reading your California 1079 post - do you think foreclosures in California will really take off later this year? If fewer buyers go to the courthouse, that’s where they’d most likely land, right?
While it is possible the banks will change their behavior based on SB 1079, we currently don’t expect that and have not changed our outlook that foreclosures will increase due to Covid, starting roughly a year after the economic impacts of Covid started. We also don’t yet expect that increase to be very large. Will depend a bit on any further stimulus or the lack thereof. Hope that helps.
