The Recorder’s office in my county is closed on Friday 12/23 and doesn’t reopen until Tuesday 1/3. ForeclosureRadar tells a different story: No trustee sales scheduled for Monday 12/26 and Monday 1/2 only. Are California trustee sales a go for 12/23 and 12/27-12/30?

The legal holidays for trustee sales (a trustee sale cannot be held) are 12/26 and 1/2. A Trustee could legally hold a sale on 12/23 and 12/27-30.
How in the world is a Recorder’s Office closed the entire week of 12/27 to 12/30. There are a lot of property sales closing at the end of the year and they need to be recorded ???
Maybe just the public viewing/research area is closed?
GJ – You are correct. They will be opened reduced hours (8am-12pm) for document recording only.
