I am interested in going to an auction but i dont know how to research what homes are being sold. How far in advance can you find out what is going to be auctioned? Which publications list these homes?
With regard to the trustee sale auctions (the true foreclosure auctions), you can find out what is coming to sale by looking at the legal notices in your local paper, reviewing public records and the County Recorder’s office, or by using a service like ForeclosureRadar.com.
In CA the notice must be published about 3 weeks before the auction, and recorded with the county two weeks before.
